A facialist once told me she spends more time looking at her bed than her clients. That stuck with me. The esthetician bed is the workspace for every facial, extraction, mask, and treatment you do. Getting it right transforms your workday.

Here is what matters most when choosing an esthetician bed.

The Face Cradle

This is the most important feature. Clients lie face-down for extractions, masks, and LED treatments. A bad face cradle ruins the experience. Look for: adjustable height, angle, and forward/backward position, memory foam or thick padding (thin foam causes pressure points within 10 minutes), and a cutout for breathing.

Some premium beds offer lateral tilt for clients with neck issues.

Electric Adjustment

For estheticians, electric beds are almost mandatory. During a facial you need to adjust the backrest multiple times — flat for extractions, slightly raised for serums, upright for finishing. With electric, a foot pedal does it silently. With manual, the client has to sit up while you pump.

Width and Padding

Padding should be 5-8cm of high-density foam. Firm enough to provide stable support, soft enough for comfort over 60+ minute treatments.
